Day by Day Itinerary

• Day 1: Arusha

  Arrive at JRO airport in Arusha. After clearing customs and immigration formalities, you will be met by our representative and transferred to a hotel in Arusha. Overnight on Bed & Breakfast at the Hotel.

• Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

  After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park arriving in time for lunch and an afternoon of game viewing. Lesser kudu, eland, lion and gerenuk can be found in this beautiful park, noted for its multitude of baobab trees and its tree- climbing lions. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or tented camp.

• Day 3: Tarangire – Ngorongoro

  After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Lunch at the lodge. This afternoon, you will descend 2000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the crater for a day crater tour. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. Dinner and overnight at the lodge in Ngorongoro.

• Day 4: Ngorongoro - Serengeti

  Drive to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge, the site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. Their findings include some of the man’s earliest known ancestral remains. Lunch at the lodge in Serengeti. You will have an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

• Day 5: Serengeti Full Day

  A full day in Serengeti, morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at lodge, B,L,D.

  Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle.

  The spectacle of predator versus prey dominates Tanzania’s greatest park. Golden-maned lion prides feast on the abundance of plain grazers. Solitary leopards haunt the acacia trees lining the Seronera River, while a high density of cheetahs prowls the southeastern plains. Almost uniquely, all three African jackal species occur here, alongside the spotted hyena and a host of more elusive small predators, ranging from the insectivorous aardwolf to the beautiful serval cat. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

• Day 6: Serengeti Full Day

  Another full day of game viewing in the Serengeti. Meals and overnight at the lodge in the Serengeti National Park.

• Day 7: Serengeti – Lake Manyara

  Breakfast at your lodge, then drive to Lake Manyara National Park, Arrive for lunch at your lodge. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge in Manyara.

• Day 8: Lake Manyara - Arusha

  After breakfast, you will have a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park whose inhabitants include hippos, monkeys, tree climbing lions, flamingos and other varieties of birdlife. Lunch at your Lodge. After lunch, drive back to Arusha and proceed to JRO for departure flight in the evening.
